Creating & managing a clan
Build a shared identity, invite members, and manage your clan from the website.
On this page
01Start or join a clan
Open Clans, then the clan management area. Sign in and verify your Minecraft account before performing clan actions.
If you do not have a clan, use Create your clan to choose a name and tag, or respond to an existing invitation.
In game, use /clan to see the actions available to you. You can create a clan with /clan create <name> <tag> and review invitations with /clan invites.
02Manage members and your identity
Use the clan management area to review your roster and invitations. The controls you can use depend on your clan role.
In game, /clan members lists your members and /clan online shows who is online. Send a message to clan chat with /cc <message>.
Use the clan preferences to choose whether your tag appears in chat and TAB and whether you allow invitations.
03Prepare for a clan war
Open the clan management area's war controls to challenge another clan. Enter the rival clan's name or tag; an authorized member of that clan must accept the challenge.
Review the war's current state and use the roster controls shown to prepare your players. Follow the match connection instructions once the session is ready.
Clan Wars use their own match flow. For an independently hosted game with custom settings, read custom SG lobbies.
